In February 2012, Psalm Isadora with Courage to Rise 501(c)3, will be traveling to the red light district of Kolkata, India to teach women to become yoga teachers in their own communities.

These women are given little opportunity, and yoga gives them self-confidence, empowerment as well as mental and physical health benefits.
The February 2011 trip was successful in training Pinky, a young woman from Kolkata, to become a yoga teacher, she continues to teach a weekly class to 50 of the sex workers in their own community.

Today on the new moon, we at Create Awake set our intentions for the month.
It is a great practice that I leaned many moons ago and it keeps me connected to the natural cycles of the earth.

We are so happy to get an overwhelming  amount of request to keep on posting excerpts of our book.  We are currently finalizing  the first draft this week .  We are grateful for your support, and  feeling the excitement that you share inspires us to meet our deadline. While we cannot release the title  of the book just yet, here is a little bit from

From Bitches to Queens- Chapter 2 excerpt
 
We would do a disservice to the entire community of women around the world if we didn’t touch upon the word Bitch and how it continues to define us. This word has been adopted  as a term of empowerment in response to the perception that women in society are the weaker sex. The implication is that in order to succeed in a man’s world and feel good about ourselves we must act like men or become the Bitch.

Our  beautiful feminine intuition, our heart centered process, our relationship focused approach, and our emotional sensitivity,  have been deemed inferior and ignored for too long.  The damaging effect of  suppressing these qualities is seen all over the world as an imbalance in ourselves, in our bodies,  in our relationships,  in our communities, in our governments, and most importantly in our planet. The reaction to this suppression has been a feminist movement toward  identification with the Bitch, as a heartless, controlling, strong and angry role model. One that you shouldn’t mess with.  This is a role model that both of us have had to let go of.  In our our twenties it served us.  We were such Bitches, but that was the only way we knew how to take care of ourselves.  It was through the Bitch that we attempted to fight  the good fight to prove our worth.

When we of speak of a Queen there is no question of her worth.  She was entitled from birth, as we all are. She is royalty, she is majestic, she is born in worth. The moment is now to embrace the gracefulness of the Queen in all her fierce, innate feminine, divine ways! It is time to have compassion for the Bitch we have been and some times still are.
Be still, be quiet and listen. Come closer and hear the best kept secret of all time.........The Queen is much stronger than the Bitch ever was. She is grounded and operates from  inside herself. 
She is not a reaction to her environment. SHE IS THE CREATOR.
